Inspections and Emissions

Shalom Auto Clinic is an Official Vehicle Inspection Station that can diagnose and fix all automotive problems on-site. We check for safety and emissions for all makes and models.

Vehicles registered in Texas are required to receive annual inspection of all safety items. Emissions testing is also required on gasoline vehicles that are 2-24 years old and registered in Harris, Fort Bend, Brazoria, Galveston, or Montgomery County.

Getting Your State Inspection:

In order to make your Vehicle Safety Inspection experience as convenient as possible, we have provided you with the following information and tools. While the inspection checklist provided below does not guarantee that your vehicle will pass inspection, reading them carefuly will prepare you for the inspection process and could increase your chances of passing your Vehicle Safety Inspection.

What to bring to get your vehicle inspected:

    Proof of liability insurance: any current state insurance
          is acceptable.
    Payment: Official Inspection Station accepts cash, check and
          credit cards (Visa & MasterCard or Debit card). Texas state
          law requires that payment is made whether your vehicle
          passes or fails inspection.
    Photo ID: This must be current and valid

What if my vehicle does not pass the State Inspection?

If a vehicle does not pass inspection, the state gives the owner a
15 day grace period to fix the problems keeping it from passing.

Because we are an Official Vehicle Inspection Repair Station, we
have the ability to make any repairs needed to bring your vehicle up
to code. We can fix the problems on-site and get you on your way.
